Privacy Policy
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Smart Admin for Jira ("the App", "we", "our") collects, processes, and protects your information when you install and use it within your Atlassian Jira Cloud environment.
What Data We Process
To function as an automated instance governance engine, the App strictly processes and evaluates your Jira configuration state dynamically. Evaluated data includes:
- check_circle Configuration metadata (e.g., custom fields, issue types, screens, priorities)
- check_circle Project layouts and workflow transitions
- check_circle Active and inactive user account mappings (to identify orphaned data)
No Personally Identifiable Information (PII) parameters (such as personal emails, addresses, or IP addresses) are structurally processed or extracted beyond what is inherently needed to visualize configurations directly inside your Jira instance dashboard.
Zero External Data Exfiltration
Smart Admin for Jira is proudly built entirely on the Atlassian Forge framework. This means that 100% of the data processing, computation, and storage occurs natively within the Atlassian Cloud infrastructure.
- cloud_off We do not use, rent, or own external servers.
- vpn_lock We do not transmit, send, or exfiltrate your Jira data, user data, or analytics to any 3rd-party databases, proprietary servers, or external vendors.
How We Store Data
Any data temporarily collected to form reports, audit trail Action Logs, or execute background analysis is stored strictly in securely partitioned Atlassian Forge SQL / App Storage environments bound securely to your tenant.
lock Native Encryption
All stored data is natively encrypted at rest and in transit, strictly governed by Atlassian Cloud policies.
terminal Local Generation
When executing PDF generation or UI reports, these are dynamically generated exclusively over your own native browser session endpoints.
Third-Party Services
Because the app relies completely on Atlassian-managed compute (AWS) provisioned via the Forge framework, we utilize no third-party sub-processors. There are no external tracking libraries, marketing analytics endpoints, or telemetry beacons included in the internal app code.
Data Retention & Deletion
-
manage_history In-App Data Management
You are in full control of your historical data. As a Jira Administrator, you can explicitly delete older historical reports directly from the Smart Admin UI.
-
delete_sweep Uninstalling the App
If you uninstall Smart Admin for Jira, all associated caches, report outputs, and Forge SQL payloads bound to your tenant are flagged for deletion automatically under Atlassian's standard Forge data retention cycle policies.
Access and Authentication
The App adheres to Atlassian’s stringent security and access boundaries. It runs under restricted, declarative permission scopes outlined upfront during your initial App installation, relying upon OAuth authentication securely brokered by Atlassian itself. We hold zero independent credentials to access your instance.
